Steering solid adapter !? what's that?

Is it hard to replace? for 40$ it seems like a great mod but does it really do what it say and does it take 5 hours to replace?

    thanks!

Its only 4 bolts, i doubt very highly it would take 5 hours. Its certainly a pain to get at tho.

It would take around 5 hours depending on who is doing it. The entire steering column has to come out.

Really? I was looking at doing it, it looks like you could just take the bolts out and swap the bushing..

I think the issue is that you cannot slide the column up to clear the bolts, hence taking off the column.
I didn't watch when we did it last time so I'm not sure.

You'd need to at least unbolt the steering column mounts and detach it slightly I order to remove and install the bushing. The problem with these things is that they are a tight fit. I couldn't get mine on unless I froze the 4 metal plugs and heated the bushing. Even then I had to use a dead blow hammer. If you manage to loosen the lower steering column that splines into the column and separate it from the top half you can theoretically just r&i that. Keep in mind the fasteners for that bushing are pretty tightly secured and I believe thread locked as well
