    Boomerang GB

Alright this isn't a sponsor type offer or even a for sale thread, just more of me trying to help out you guys.

As some of you might know, I am a Finance Manger for a lexus dealer in Toronto (now in Vancouver! ). The other day I brought my laptop into the office to do some personal work while it is slow. I popped outside for 5min for a smoke, came back just in time to see some guy running off with my laptop out of the dealership.

All my personal info and bank account info was on it. It is a nightmare, but then the next morning it hit me as I was looking in my garage. My skyline.........

It has 30 pics of my car on it, plus my home address, and skylines take 5 min to steal............

The end result I brought it to work and immediately had a boomerang tracking device installed on it. If you aren't familiar it is a no sticker, no light tracking device that has a 99% recovery rate in 2 hours.

Basically as I was driving home I started thinking that the members here might want it to, I mean our cars are more available than they were, but most of us have hours and hours of wrenching and although the cash value is covered, the car itself is more to me than the money.

That being said, My store retails boomerang devices, and retail is 899 for 1 year of monitoring, I will personally do a GTRC deal for any member who wants one for 550.00 installed and 1 year monitoring included. That is my cost, and what I paid for mine. the yearly fee after is 137/year about 13/ month.

    web site for info: www.boomerangtracking.com

This isn't a sales pitch, it is a product I believe in, that works, and although yes I will get my money back for the car, I would rather just have my car. PM if you want more info.

PS, TD Meloche, RBC, Aviva and ING discount cars equipped with it, and it is required in PQ on cars over 30k, otherwise no insurance coverage.

lol, funny thing, they want to start up in edmonton, I will see if they have it out there yet, and if so I am sure they will let me sell it to you and arrange a local install for you.

    I will ask tomorrow.

    I should mention 2 things:

They have a 99% recovery rate within 2 hours and the reason is because they are the ONLY security system that has it's own tracking team. They don't wait for the police to go get it, they get it themselves, then call the police to arrest whoever they detain.

Just tired of hearing and reading posts about stolen skylines and other cars. It sucks and then thinking, jeeze take the skyline for dinner, can I get a seat where I can see it? lol gay yes but I am paranoid.

for guys that dont know what this is. this thing works even in underground parking. plus the installer is contracted to place it in different spots for each car and that him and him alone is the only one that knows where it is, besides the owner. i will gladly take you on this offer once i have funds again. this is better than any alarm system. alarms only stall thieves from getting your car.

Please do. I'm incredibly paranoid about my car being stolen.

I was thinking about this the other day. GPS on my car, so if it was stolen, I could pin point its location. Decent price for the service it can provide. Is this deal available, as long as you still work at the dealership ?

    thanks for posting !
