GB: Accusump Complete Install kit for Skylines

VEX Performance is doing a Group Buy on Canton Racings Accusump complete setup kit for all Nissan RB26 Engines (and any that support 3/4" - 16 Oil filters)

We will be extending this group buy to Subaru owners as well (Same Price, but different install kit!)

All orders must be made by noon on Friday, January 29, 2010

What is the purpose of an Accusump?
-Pre-Oiling: Supplying oil pressure to the engine before start up for the purpose of lubricating engine components
-Surge Control: Supplying oil pressure to the moving components of the engine when there is a momentary interruption of the normal oil supply

Why should I run an Accusump?
-When you cold start your engine you are able to lubricate your engine before anything even turns over. This dramatically reduces engine wear. Upto 90% of engine wear is done during start-up
-Under high G-Forces in accelerating, decelerating and cornering your oil pump pickup could starve of oil for just a brief second. If this happens and you loose oil pressure it will damage your engine (Sometimes very seriously). Having an Accusump installed will not allow you to loose oil pressure in the event of a briefly oil starved pump.

The bottom line. Apart from the MAJOR benefit of pre-lubricating your engine before start up, if your Accusump ever has to work even once it will save you THOUSANDS of dollars! On an engine rebuild! The more heavily modified the engine, the more you will potentially save. Accusumps come factory on Ultima GTR's and many Lotus's as well. The only setup superior to an Accusump is a full drysump... which costs at least 8X the price of our group buy!

For more information go to http://www.accusump.com/

Group Buy kits include the following:

    1 x 24-026 -Accusump 2QT Accumulator
    1 x 24-271 -Accusump EPC Electric Actuation Valve 20-25psi
    1 x 24-700 -Accusump 3/4" - 16 Nissan installation kit
    1 x 24-200 -Accusump Mounting bracket set

If we Sell 1-10 Unit Price is $575 CAD Including shipping to VEX

If we Sell 10+ Units Price is $550 CAD Including shipping to VEX

I need one whether it's through a group buy or not if it fails so count me in.

I have a factory oil filter size (relocated with HKS type R and oil cooler). Where does the unit mount (I'd like it infront of my rad)? Where does it plumb into with the "kit" you sell...

PM if you have lots of info. I'm not up to par with accusumps knowledge yet.

The kits that we are selling include a factory style oil filter adapter similar to your hks setup. It allows the Accusump to be easily installed on your engine. It may not need the install kit for your specific installation, but we need to know a few things.

Does the HKS Oil cooler have a thermostat built into the filter adapter? If so then it wouldn't properly charge the accusump unless oil temperature has opened the thermostat.

    check out http://www.accusump.com/accusump.pdf/instructions.pdf

I will be going ahead with the order next friday no matter, but I can probably get you guys an altered kit at a very good price if we can figure out what you need for the GB

The Accusump can be mounted anywhere it will fit! idealy its mounted pretty flat with a very slight taper, the kit comes with 6' of -10 oil line to accommodate many mounting solutions.

If you have any more questions let me know!

HKS is only expensive, not the best, so I don't think it has a thermostatic switch cause I can't find it lol.

I'm sure it's easy to plumb in a way that bypasses the block (thermostatic valve)

Forgot to ask, does the kit come with the electr(onic)ic valve for preignition lubing?

Edit: this must be it here lol

With the complete kit you could double-stack the 2 oil filter adapter plates, this would give you the protection of the accusump, and still have a thermostat for oil cooling. As long as you installed the accusump plate closest to the block

I don't understand 2 sandwich plates. I see a 'T' fitting in the oil return however.
