MY FIRST .......day at the drag strip.

    Today, April 20th 2007,

I took my GTR to Mission Raceway.

First time ever have I Drag raced.

I was nervous, excited, and intimidated all at the same time.

My first run was against a Rotary.

    I ran: 13.378 @ 102.81Mph

    r/t was .783
    60' was 2.072

    His time was : 14.070 @ 100.32mph

    I won!

My Second run was against a turbo 93-94 Civic

    I Ran : 13.451 @ 99.93mph

    R/t was good at .706
    60' was ok at 1.914

BUT third gear was hard to shift into so i lost some time there...

So I lost to this turbo Civic.. his time was 13.006 @ 108.34mph

My third Run was against a 04 Golf GTI turbo

    I Ran : 13.313 @ 102.75mph

    r/t was ok at .876
    and 60' was at 2.036

As you can see im still learning everything here. My first time out ever!

I still won because the golf GTI did 16.46 @ 84.06mph.

NOW for the grand finale :

    My fourth and final Run.

    It was against a MK3. 1JZ TT

    I amazingly did 12.989 @ 105.64 MPH!!!!

    R/t was good at .655
and 60' was good at 1.878

I won cause the supra's clutch was slipping and he did 16.790 and 50mph ...

I never guessed my car is in the 12 seconds!!! I am very happy about this and was very impressed with myself on how i did the first time out:-P :-) :-P

Yes, mods list please. Nice runs!

I don't think it takes much for a GTR to get into the 12s. I imagine with more practice you can get much lower times.

Seems like your 60' is a bit slow, how are you launching? What kind of tires do you have?

    1st run was around 4500

2nd run the civic prestaged before i staged so i didnt get it enough time and dropped it weird so maybe 4000

    3rd was 5000

    and 4th run was 6500

the 4th run i was pumping the gas on and off trying to time the lights with my foot to build boost at the perfect second to release the clutch.

I was being coached by Mark and Marco from forcefed. i parked with those guys cause they worked on a few of my old cars and are good helpful people.
