What is the overall maintenance like on a r32 is it overly expensive? also are parts more pricey?

This is a question that has been hammered on over and over. If you do a search on here you'll find answers to all your questions.
That being said. The answers to your basic questions are YES and YES. The GTR is not a Civic (no offense intended to Civic owners).

Overly expensive yes. not the easiest to trouble shoot or fix. Fun to drive but EVO X and new STIs are funner, smarter, warranty and cheaper to soup up. those who buy GTRs is cause they have a good cash flow, if they can't afford it, they sell and move on. Anyone can buy one, not everyone can afford one.

Just make sure you keep the blinker fluid topped up, lift heavy, and take a multi. You should be good.
