    R32 GTR vs. 2010 Vette ZR1

So my neighbor (single biggest lotto 649 winner in sask history) just added another car to his collection, a brand new ZR1. We are going to eventually take them out and run them but what are your guys thoughts on how the Gtr will do ? I'm currently running 520whp & 486ft/lbs. I know these cars are capable of mid 11 sec 1/4's but that's on the track with a professional driver and practice runs. Im pretty confident il take him but let's hear your input ! Maybe some of you have already taken on the new zr1 ?

I would think you will take him. Although the numbers are pretty close. 480lb/ft stock zr1. I really think it comes down to who hooks up best, and who shifts best. I'd think the GT-R will have a better chance.

I think it would be a pretty close call. You have the AWD advantage so you will get him there. I guess it would be down to reaction, shifting and who ever has higher HP output.

+1 for amazing torque numbers, Your turbo(s) must spool like crazy.

Yea they light up really fast, easy to miss shifts if I'm not paying attention it revs really really fast especially with the OS flywheel clutch combo. The new vettes run 335's on The rear so hook and launch pretty damn good, the suspension has been Totally refined to get the power to the ground. They have posted sub 4 second 0-60 times. Having launch control getting me off the line at 13psi and 4500rpm and having AWD will be a advantage but those cars are beastly !

The joke between all our friends is that if I win I will be walking home because he will buy it off me on the spot because he has to have the fastest car haha

    Some ZR1 numbers:

    638bhp
    604ft-lb
    3,352 lb
    0-60 MPH: 3.3s
    Top speed: 205MPH(330km/h)
    1/4 mile: 11.2s

    Putting it into perspective:

1995 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. "Camilla."
    1984 Chevrolet Corvette C4. "Red."

Sorry, you're right. I was quoting the LS7 torque numbers (that's in the Z06). I guess you would have a little more trouble keeping up than I initially thought. But you'd give the Z06 a nice run.

You should smoke a z06 and give the zr1 a good run. zr1's usually do 530whp but it really depends on the dyno. What dyno were you on and what turbos are you running?

I raced a z06 with intake exhaust and tune from a 60km/hr roll in second gear up to xxxkm/hr and was at least 3 car lengths in front it wasn't even close.

Like I mentioned earlier the ZR1 numbers stats posted by a pro and 90% of the time done on a track. The 0-60 have ranged from 3.3 secs to 3.9 and 1/4 miles from 11.1 to 12.1 and Iv also watched numerous real life drags online with as much variance in times. I feel it will come down to the launch, traction, and shifting. I don't abuse my car but am very comfortable driving it and I know how to make it do what i want when want it to he doesn't have that comfort level in his car yet since he has hardly drove it.

    If I

Iv got less the. $30k into my car and his was $121k plus tax so even if I lose I can't be to upset haha
