    New R32 GTR

    Hey Everyone!

New owner here, my car is coming in June but i want to start getting things prepared instantly. But I need some suggestions.

What exactly should i look out for when i get the car?
After some research a lot of findings came across a weak Head Gasket.
    Any thoughts?

Congrats on the new car, il be the first one to help you out so you don't get flamed. There have been alot of new Gtr owners with the same thread. First off don't worry about your head gasket it will be fine. Click on home page, scroll down to GTR tech and GTR discussion and read all the "stickied" threads, they are highlighted in yellow. Pay extremely close attention to all the information in the RB26 oil pump thread as this could be your engines killer. Then review the boost limitations on stock turbines and then read how to change a clutch.

When you get the car do a compression test, change all fluids (info found in Gtr tech) and have it tuned.
    Congrats again

    Thank You!
Wow it's odd, i never found anything related to the Oil Pump. But that may be a good thing, i got an inquiry for a metal head gasket and it was going to throw me off about $2000.

    Thanks Again!

Oh **** that's way to much,I have a extra tomei metal gasket kit I think it was like $400.
If you keep your car "fairly" stock (400-500 crank hp) and have it tuned properly and don't bang the rev limiter all the time there is no reason it shouldnt last you another 100,000km. You did the right thing by asking for input, I wish I would have when I bought mine haha I killed mine in the first 2 weeks by ignoring the 3 simple topics I mentioned earlier.
Gtrc is a great forum full of guys that are very knowledgeable when it comes to every aspect of these cars. Get familiar with the search button and how to navigate around the forum and you will find most of the answers to your questions

Why is it taking until June to get your car if you have already bought it?

Evilgtr you're a good guy ,it pisses me off when people trip out on new users.

BNR1991 make sure you take care of all the maintenance aspects when you get the car. (timing belt ,idler/tensionner,water pump, fluids etc..) and do alot of reading it helps to know the strenghts and weaknesses of the car.The gtr is a really easy car to work on but its really expensive!

Thanks DJ, I'm just trying to help newbs with the info I have picked up along the way. Lots of users are quick to flame the newbs with the ol "try the search function" instead of simply pointing out where the info can be found and pointing them in the right direction.

BNR1991 tell us mire about your car ? Any pics ? Have you picked one out yet ?

That use the seaarch function is only so good. What somebody should do is actually give examples of how the search function works. That ticks me off the arogance newbs usually find. It actually makes people back down and drop the hobby. It s not like the guys first post is so I am building a 900 hp car and I am wondering where the best place to buy a blow off valve is and a greddy ermanage.

    Cheers
