I have these pictures in my edition of import tuner...i read up on the article, and it says here that they "Relocated the engine and transmission mounting points reward by 20CM" and a "custom sump had to be made, which had to incorporate the factory diff housing and keep it inline with the front track. This was achieved by taking out 20cm from the section in front of the diff and welding it back together to create a custom rear section".
This is right from the magazine article, hence the quotations, figured i would share!
LOL....I've got the same mag. The car owner wants to lap Tsukuba in 53 sec. or something like that. The only thing that kinda pissed me off was that they took a factory N1 VspecII (iirc) R34 GTR to make it, with all the stuff that they did to the chassis they could have easily used a regular GTR instead of a rare factory car.
I guess if you've got money falling out of your arse(they have about $300k into it), who cares, right? I would like to see an update to see if he managed to hit his target.
Jon.

Two days ago I saw a vehicle that would haul that tanker....you wanna get out of here......you talk to me.:The Road Warrior
Rides:
1990 GTR Drag Special T88H34D 11.24 @ 127.55mph at 1.2bar (strip) 10.67 at 134mph at 1.4 bar (G-Tech street)
2011 Silverado Crew tow rig.
1993 Nissan March A# with only 36,000km.
I'd kill for those subframes. They've completely re-engineered the suspension in the car.
1992 GTR
1988 Mazda RX-7 10AE
1999 F250 Superduty 7.3L Turbo (tow vehicle)
One day I'll have my own design too! *shakes fist in the air*
Nothing sexier than pure unadulterated function engineering

Thats a weird steering rack/tie rod design.
My car keeps on stealing my money .
Wow! I love it! I would buy that thing in a second if I had the money!
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!
Kind of make's sense when you think about it. They have the space and shorter intercooler pipe = less lag.
Might be negligible for most every body but any amount count when your at that level. Hell if you want to
go even further you could say less pipe= less weight.
Edit: just had a look at the steering arrangement. Nice way to get a quicker steering ratio.
