    RB26dett identification..need help!

    Hey,

New here and recently bought a rb26 motor but not sure on the year of car it came from.. Is there any identification in the code on the block? or is it strictly the crank collar size, and if so what is the measurement it should be? Any info will help

    Thanks,
    Ryan

Thx for the info..after ripping apart the block to checking the crank today, this answers quite a few questions.

05u is just the rb26 block, the blocks don't vary themselves. its the crank that is different..basically from some intensive research as of late..if ur crank collar at the pump is small u have a 89-92 block, if it is larger u have a 93+..

lol that took intensive research? even though the problem was thought to have been solved with the 93+ its really not. here is some more insight.
