    i need help!!

    how can i tell if my turbo's good or not. i know they shouldnt have too much play, but i was told that up and down play is alright, but in and out play on the shaft isn't okay. any advice?
    1991 nissan skyline gt-r
    1991 nissan hard body 4x4
    1993 nissan hard body (drift truck project)

    i assume the turbo is out of the car? if you're gettin play and the turbo is out of the car imo id just replace it now since its out, get a ncie upgrade... instead of putting it back in... thats just my opinion... saves a lot of headaches later on... parts don't cost much, its the labour costs and downtime :P

    runout (measured via oil return hole) 0.056-0.127 mm (0.0022-0.0050 in)
    thrust clearance (measured at end of shaft) 0.013-0.096 mm (0.0005-0.0038 in)

    can also use the tool on brake rotors and other good stuff.

    might want to download the manual.
    it details other thing to look for while inspecting the turbos.
