Lightbulb What do you think about the TOMEI EXPREME DUMP PIPE + MANIFOLD KIT ( $ vs HP GAIN )

    Hi everybody !
Im interested to buy a TOMEI EXPREME DUMP PIPE AND MANIFOLD KIT and want to know if its a good investment VS the power gain ....

    *What I already have on my GTR ( 340whp at 12 psi ) :

    -Downpipe and full exhaust
    -Apexi Power intake

*What I gonna install on my GTR :

    -Twin turbo OEM pipe MODIFIED
    -YELLOW JACKET coil packs
    -800cc Sard injector
    -Fuel rail Sard
    -Fuel Pump Sard
    -Apexi AVCR Boost controller
    -2 X GT2860R-7

Do you think that for 1500$ aprox the TOMEI EXPREME DUMP PIPE AND MANIFOLD KIT
is a good addon HP gain vs PRICE ??

    Thanks for your advise !

That's a lot of money - I would suggest after market Cams, cam gears a good piggy back or stand along system and a tune. All that should come in under $2000 if you can do the work yourself and this will give you the most bang for your buck since you already have upgraded turbos and a larger fuel system. You are nowhere near maxing out your stock manifolds so I personally would say it's a huge waste of money.

    Just my 2 pennies

I'd spend that $1500 towards a single turbo setup. Less weight, faster spool, more top end, less clutter, better looking, better sounding, less cost (usually)

Forget twins, they're nothing like twin scroll singles.

Now, if you wanted expreme manifolds and outlets, I could sell you my set so I can go single twin scroll

keep the stock manifolds, but port them
then spend that money on a PowerFC or cams

I have the tomei manifolds and dumps with my tomei arms turbos.

I also ceramic coated them and my Greddy downpipe and ditched the heat shields and underhood temps are much lower.

They arn't the best band for your buck as far as performance goes , but if you intend to work on the engine and need to take them off now and then they sure make working on that side of the engine a whole lot easier.

Having said this , my setup does not exactly represent the best bang for the buck for performance ( i pick up a nismo plenum next week ) , but it's my hobby , it fits in my budget and i like building it as much as i like driving it.
