Can all JDM cars start without using the clutch? Or is there something wrong with my GTR?

At least all Skylines I saw including mine where starting w/out clutch engaging. Don't know about Toyota tough
Gotta love those twins
most if not all jdm cars do not have a clutch safety switch.
It's a USDM thing, some hardcore euro cars don't have them either (ie: volvo and old BMW)
My Ctrl button has the 'C' scratched off it.
Yeah my friends FD could start with out clutch too as well as my S13
GT-R
O O SKYLINE O O
mostly all JDM cars . My buddies Mark II, buddies CRESTA,Soarer,180sx , R33 they all start with out clutches.its a beautiful thing!

I mean yes, if you wanted a clutch-safety switch, you can wire that in via alarm.
I've actually seen someone do that IRL, weird, I know.

i recall some DSM guy's claiming that having to step on the clutch to start the car contributed to crank walk.
I had to clean up the thread quite a bit! Keep it decent guys!
My cars:
1996 BCNR33 GT-R
1992 FD3S RX-7 Type-S
it does put extra load on the thrust bearing when its got no oil. Probably not the best for it but I've only heard of DSM's dying in that manner.
Clutch switches are relatively new and only over here. I think they started happening around '86 or so. People in other parts of the world are smart enough to not start the car in gear it seems.
