Hey what battery does everyone run in there GTR??? And on a side note where the >!@>#!@# is the belt tensioner???

Depends if it relocated or not, I use a red top on my car. Belt tensioner is straight down from you cams behind the belt cover

Yeah i want to keep it in the stock location. With the red top you had to change the ends on the wire to some bigger ones correct? Reason im asking is i have my battery from Japan in there and its DOA, and then my belts are super tight so i gotta loosen it off a tad

which belt tensioner? timing belt? or drive belt tensioner?

You can use an MT51 size, I forget if it's regular or reversed terminals though.

its reversed terminals i found this out the hard way when i tried to toss an optima red top in there, it will fit but you gotta fiddle with the wires to get some slack.

does it put stress on the alternator because its constantly trying to charge?

You can get the MT51 with reversed terminals. The Mega Tron 51 or the Mega Tron 51R

theres two tensioner for ur drive belts....one would be th alternator itself and one between the a/c comp and crank pulley...that one is the same as the 300zx and just swap in a washer behind the rb26 tensioner and ur good to go in case u need to replace it

part number for that is 11925-42L06 ac tensioner...i replaced mine coz it was chirping
