R32 rebuild & turbo upgrade

my baby blew up, this is my rebuild project.

symptom: rough idle, white smoke from exhaust, no boost, smoke from air filter. compression test shows 30psi on two pistons. heres a look inside:

two mangled pistons

Hey I'm pretty sure I test drove this car. Did the clutch need to be replaced when you bought it ? and it has a PFC right?

hmm probably wasnt this one (stock ecu). blew up the day after I bought it. it stuttered a bit in the high rpm on the test drive but i was up for the challenge. didnt think it would turn into a project car in one day

i really dont know how it happened, i was driving it hard it just died on the highway.

cometic metal head gasket
acl main bearings
balanced rotating assembly
head recondition
new oil pump
2xGT2860R-5 Turbos

oh, weird I swear that looks just like the one I test drove. Sorry to hear about that tho man, Good luck with the rebuild. Is JRE helpin ya out at all since it happened so soon?

EDIT: Just saw those pics above....looks like you got it all worked out haha
