    Project Stealth

Alright, I believe that it's finally time for me to post up a build thread. Nothing spectacular to post yet, just plans for the near future. I don't have any "before" photo's because my computer crashed about a month ago and unfortunately the only files I didn't save were the original import photos I took of my car depicting damage. I will gradually update as my part stack grows and when I take the car out of my garage.

Phase 1 - To be complete no later than July

    Exterior
All bodywork including refinnishing chipped Nismo LMGT'4
    Deep black respray
    Black tinted windows
    Front bumper (forget the brand)
Side skirts (also forget the brand, I think trust)
    Top secret rear diffuser
Carbon fiber GT wing (going to custom make a downforce weight transfer bracket so the trunk dosen't get ripped off)
    Sard Aero Blade: http://www.tunerlab.jp/sard-aero-bla...bd8b1df01314c0
    Wangun Chibi wing
    Carbon Mirrors

    Interior
    New Air vents
Momo Wheel w/works bell quick release
    Nismo Shifter
    Takata 4-point harness

    Performance - UPDATED
VTTR racing 6 - pot front + rear
    Buddy Club Junior Spec Coilovers
    Nismo strengthened front links
    Cusco Catch tank
Trust Oil Cooler + Filter Relocate
    Trust Greddy aluminum radiator
ORG OGURA twin plate clutch, awaiting needed accessories
    Front Wheel Bearings
Exhaust, custom: keeping muffler and tip. Going 4" straight through from downpipes.
    Apexi Power FC + Commander
    Nismo low temp thermostat
    Splitfire direct ignition
Optima yellow top + battery relocate to trunk

Sounds like some good plans! Good job leaving the year off your October target for your build. :-P

Just funnin' ya. This stuff _always_ takes longer than you think it will. But seriously, why not make it a winter project. Unless the car doesn't run, drive it during the summer!

What kind of track work are you contemplating? Good pads (EBC Redstuff) and good racing fluid will make OEM brakes stand up to some pretty serious lapping. Pedal effort is quite high, but you can stand the car on its nose with well maintained OEM rotors and calipers. You'll get better feel and even less fade with big brakes, but I question whether you need them for anything less than pretty serious circuit work.

    Cheers,
    Dan

Make sure you have some deeeeeeep pockets or have some really great connections for parts. Good to see you have a plan of attack for your build hope it all comes together for you the way you have planned it out.

    Hope it all works out

OOooops LOL I ment to type that Phase 2 is supposed to start in October. Must of copy and pasted that part like a lazy ass... But yea I would never waste my summer building my car. I just hope the engine can hold up to all the track days until the build.

I'm looking to track as much as I possibly can this summer, really can't wait to try my balls out at Mosport. :-D Last summer sucked as the car was a DD. This year it's pretty much weekend/track sex.

My brakes are very worn and in need of serious replacement. I want something that will last many hard laps for a medium price. Brakes, cooling, and suspension are categories that I really don't want to skimp out on this year.

And yes lets all pray to the Skyline Gods that the CDN goes up!

And one question about braking again: When doing some serious tracking with big and good brakes how much is ABS needed? Does anybody here track their car hard without a pump? I'm sure this takes more feel to not lock up under hard braking. I just hate the feel of ABS. uke: unless it saves my life in snow LOL

    Part stack update.

It has started, and from this point on there will be a non-stop parade of parts for my woman.

    So far:
GT wing (thanks to MW racing and other dude who sold it to me during the summer)
ORC OGURA twin plate clutch and flywheel (thanks pyr8 )

    On the way from Japan:
    SARD aero blade x5
    Left side interior air vent
Front wheel bearings + needed accessories
    (thanks Daryl ^^^)

    Next:
    Trial front bumper
    Trust skirts
    Top Secret rear diffuser
    (hopefully all at once)

Here are some pics of the clutch and GT wing.

PS the wing sleeps with me and my Samurai sword under my bed :-P

you car looks awesome with those rims!

the best rim refinisher is carcone's in aurora. all dealerships goto them. i had a nasty set of rims re-done by them and they came out like new. mind you, you gotta pay for quality work.
