    gutting

    Has anyone gutted their GTR?

I'm contemplated whether or not i should gut it and install a roll cage and a custom aluminium dash set up.

if anyone has done anything like this could you post some pics or PM me that would be great thanks!

    gutted?!

but seriously, i've seend gutted skylines in quebec, and the weight savings isn't that great since the roll cage weighs almost just as much as the interior parts,

but if your going to use your GTR mostly on the track it could be a great idea to stiffen up a 18~19 year old chassis

but if your going to use your GTR mostly on the street, well a roll cage could be VERY dangerous, i've heard horror stories about people just driving normally on the street and because of a sudden move they banged their head against the metal cage and suffered from a concussion or worst

I'm not 100% sure yet. I'm talking to a guy here in town that does this all custom weld in. so if he can build something that I wont smash my head into and will allow me to get in and out of my doors, then a full. if not then i would do a half with a harness bar and everything.

I'm just thinking about it! and wanting to see some pics of someone who has.
