    Future Plans

    Hey Guys!

How is everyone? I am good! So over the past few weeks I have been pricing and thinking about what my next steps are for my skyline! Well after many apon many conversations with my good friends that own a shop in New West, and another one of my friend who is one of the best tuners. We have decided on the following:

    RB26DETT fully build.
Heres the layout as of today (2006-11-06)

    R34 N1 RB26DETT
    CP Racing Forged Pistons
    CP Racing Forged Rods
    Tomei Valves
    Tomei Valve Springs
    Tomei Cams
RB26 tranny with upgraded Tomei internals
    Sard 800cc injectors
    Custom Fuel Rail
Stock intake manifold with single TB upgrade
    HKS Twin Turbo Exhaust manifold
    2x HKS GT28 turbos
    2x Walborro external Fuel Pumps
    GReddy 5 core Intercooler
    Custom IC piping
    Custom 4" exhaust
    Nismo Engine and Tranny Mounts
    JIC coilovers
    Nismo Diff
    Brembo Brake upgrade
    Stock RB26 Drive Shaft
    Haltec Standalone ECU

And i believe that is it...

The reason i am going for the twin turbo set up is because there will be more response from the engine and everything for street use and still with this setup i am looking to have around 600hp to the rear.

Well guys let me know what you think! Some more input would be good... but i am very sure this is the setup i am going to do and i dont believe i am going to change anything but peoples opinions are welcome!

Looks like a pretty sweet build to me! A couple things though:
    1. Doing a single TB conversion on the stock intake manifold might be tricky. Mainly dealing with where the stock ITBs used to be. It might simply be as easy as making 3 adapter plates.

    2. You might want to go with something a little less extreme than a 5core intercooler. You're looking for quicker response right? As you might already know, smaller intercoolers have better response. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but a stock GT-R intercooler is good enough for 600hp.

Good luck on it, and keep us posted!

    Cheers,
    Dan

Might want to think about adding an uprated radiator to that list as well.

So, your working with "one of the best tuners", why do you need our help. Build it, make 600 hp, and then brag about it.....

Just seems a bit "hey guys, look at me".....

This is coming from a guy who has "new plans" every week...
Until you have all of the parts, they're not plans, they're dreams.

I'm not busting your chops... because I always have a wicked plan, and then it rarely happens for whatever reason. Things change, your taste changes, and you financial situation changes, so to say you are willing to drop $23,500 in the heat of the moment may sound like a good idea NOW, but when you are $5,000 into the project you may realize that it's a bad idea.

My advice, start with the small stuff; that way if you at ANY point in time want to scrap the project... you aren't already $15,000 in the hole.

So, until there's a financial commitment to the project... it's just a dream, not a plan. :P

And don't mind the sceptisism of some of the members, it's not like you're the first person with huge plans for their car. We sincerely hope that you go through with it, but the statistics aren't on your side. :P

how do you know what my finacial situation is? how do you know half these parts on the way... you dont.... you dont know anything about me... and i have never post before what my plans were! this is the first time i have... so i dont know if you have me confused with someone else....

also how do you know i dont want to drop that much in my car
the way i see it build and engine for 23000 and have a super fast reliable car... or go blow 40000+ for the same thing on the new car... i think i will take my skyline over that anyday

even if its a dream... the POINT OF THIS POST is to get others opinions ON PARTS and WHAT COULD BE BETTER... where in my post did i ask if you think i can afford it or anything of the sort... stick to the topic... which is what do you think of the setup and is there anything else i need to do or change!
