    Godzilla Project

My car is currently under construction! I bought my car off of Gabe from www.JapaneseImports.ca. It's a 1991 Nissan Skyline GT-R with a R33 engine swap. I got the car and it was bone stock running 9lbs of boost dynoed at 279hp @ wheels. We turned the boost up and installed the Greddy E-manage and tuned it and right before I put it away in the garage it pulled 331hp and 279lbs of torque @ wheels.

Here are the plans that are already in the works and that I have already started working on her:

    Engine:
Two Brand New Garrett T2860RS Turbos
    Custom Top Mount Manifolds
    New Custom Intercooler/Intake Piping
    72Lbs Injectors
    Megan Racing Oil Catch Tank
    Megan Racing Large Intercooler
    Custom Painted Valve Covers
    All New Belts / Pulleys
    Battery Re-location (Trunk)
    Twin Megan Racing BOV's

    Exterior:
    New Custom Airbrush Paint Job
    Shaved Trunk Lock

    Suspension:
Megan Racing Coilover Damper Kits - Street Series
Megan Racing Rear Lower Traction Rods
Megan Racing Front Pillow Tension Rods
Custom Strut Brace Upper/Lower Front & Rear (Made by Hermit-Dragon)
    Nismo Upper Control Link Bushings

    Interior:
Custom C-Pillar Brace / Lower B-Pillar and harness bar (Made by Hermit Dragon)
Set of Megan Racing Carbon Fibre Race Seats Black Cloth
    Set of Megan Racing Harnesses
Megan Racing Quick Release Steering Hub
    Megan Racing Air/Fuel Meter Guage
    Megan Racing EGT Guage
    Megan Racing Oil Pressure Guage
    Megan Racing Oil Temp Gauge
    Megan Racing Turbo/Boost Gauge
    Megan Racing Vacuum Gauge
    Megan Racing Volt Meter
    Megan Racing Water Temp Gauge
    Greddy E-manage
Blitz DUAL SBC TYPE R Boost Controller
    Personel Wheel w/Boss Adapter

If you were wondering why all the Megan Racing equipment, my car has been sponsored by them as of the end of October and I just received all the products the other day so I will be starting the build process over the winter. Here is what the car looked like from when I bought it. I will add photos when I start on things.

Looks like a good starting car for that project, you're lucky the swap has already been done. Are you planning on painting/airbrushing the valve cover like your photoshop? Keep us updated!

Yes I plan to airbrush the entire car but I will not reveal of what until it is competed. And for the valve cover that is what will be going on there seeing how it's the cover of the 1991 film Godzilla I found it fitting to go my 1991 Skyline (Godzilla).

I keep everyone up to date on my progress.

i would honestly pick a different gauge for oil pressure. We found the sending unit megan uses to be very inaccurate.

    Hey lucky,

Thanks for the insite, I will definetly look into that one as I do not want that to malfunction while being turned 90 degrees on the track or down the strip!

Can you buy different sending units and still use their guage?

    What do you recommend?

we've had nothing but good luck with stewart Warner gauges. Nopt bad on price either. JRP stocks them, never had a problem with them.

As for the sending unit for the Megan gauge, as long as the new unit specs out with the same OHM and voltage, you could possibley find a new unit, But after all the problems i've had with megan gauges, i dont trust the accuracy of the gauge itself.

    Lucky,

where would I look for a replacement sending unit? Would Home Depot or Princess Auto carry anything like that?
