    Question Question about Oil Pumps

So I just picked up my beautiful GTR
(let me add that OMG is it ever no comparison to my old GTS-T, couldn't be happier)

    Anyways...

People are telling me that Oil pumps are a huge issue with these engines. Now the search buttom didn't produce much of anything, so i'll ask

Do I need to worry about it?

I'll give you a little history on the car.
It's a 91 GTR. Original one owner car. True 100K kms. The only mod on the car is cat back exhaust. It's 100% mint, very well kept and not a spot of rust.
It has had recent timing belt change, oil change, water pump, coolant flush, spark plugs and much more.

Would you say the I need to change it? Currently the Oil pressure gauge is reading a steady 4 pounds.

And if you say I do need one, what kind.

    Thanks guys!

700hp supra vs my 600hp Skyline GTS

Two posts above yours as a sticky. Also the FAQ has a shitload of info as this comes up alot. Good luck!

PS / Pull the engine, change crank / add oil pump drive collar, enjoy engine.

Ok well I read through lots of those threads but one quick question to clarify

I intend on keeping my car 100% stock. Those issues seem to be related to modding it. If I keep it stock do I still need to do that?

If you plan on keeping your car stock but reving it to 8000 rpm(stock red line) i would recommend a ATI Harmonic Balancer(the small one)

at around 7200-7600 there is a harmonic that wont be caught by the stock crank pully and a few blocks i have pulled apart have had cracking which could be related to this.

Now the oiling issue can present itself in stock engines as well as modified engines.
It is a big job to sleeve the crankshaft snout and replace the oil pump.
only one guy that i know of has removed the oil pump with the engine still in the car but even then you would not be able to sleeve or change the crankshaft.
