Oil: how hot is to hot?

My oil temp hit around 100-105 C when driving at 120 or so on the freeway last sunday. I'm getting a oil cooler in the near future, but for the time being, I'm just wondering if prolonged 100+ C oil is to hot for the engine?

    on a highway yes.

    Get a coolant temp gauge.
stock r32's have water cooled oil coolers.
if you rad fluid is low the oil temp will be high, or if you have a pocket or air somewhere.

You can drive it there but personally i wouldnt.
    should be around 85 crusing
    rad fluid sits at 79-82

I noticed the same thing today, the outside temp sensor was showing 34, and I had the AC on, turned the AC off and would go 130 coast down to 100, did that a few times and brought it back down, then without using the AC it stayed around 90.

AC dumps a lot of heat over the engine.
