    GTR Or GTST?

Hi, guys I need some advice solving this dilema. I have a 240sx that I swapped a GTST motor into. I did all the necessaries...........N1 oil pump, water pump, timing belt, clutch/pressure plate. I had fun with the car but a couple days ago I spun a bearing (or two) and now I'm faced with this choice, rebuild the GTST or buy a GTR motorset. I can put my hands on roughly 3500 to 4000 dollars and the average motorset cost 3600 which does not leave me with much more. So then any ideas as to which direction is recommended?

I have to agree here, much more effort and time required to get a rb26 to bolt up than an RB20, you will have to change your intake piping, exhaust setup, and even buy an rb25 oil pan to get it to work together. I'm pretty sure that alone will cost most of your budget, not to mention 2000 for a good working motor...

Rebuild the rb20 with some nice internals and run a big turbo. Cost you less than the rb26 and make much more power reliable.

    I agree about the RB20.

    If done properly a rebuilt RB20 + bolt ons, etc + 240sx is good for a 10 sec 1/4 -

What's impressive is the rebuilt RB20 engine has stock capacity, stock pistons, stock conrods, stock crank.

    Here's another 420whp or 313rwkw (around 480hp at engine) RB20 powered 240sx drift car -

I actually have the rb25det (sorry I did not mention that) but I do see where you guys are coming from. I've already taken off the head and about to take the block off. My internals definately won't be stock when I'm done. I also started to look for a reliable machine shop. I just wanted to see how the experts would have approached it.
