    Step 1 Clean it
Step 2 Clean it again cause its not clean enough!
3 Take extension and hold it to the correct location and mark the cut line out with a scribe.
    4 cut the pan
5 clean it again cause you made it dirty
6 Let your welder prep the alum. the way he wants. Mig clean Tig much cleaner! If you do not have all the oil products off the alum. You will get micro porosity that you will not see. Then after a week or so you will have a weep and leave yourself thinking. (this sucks why did i waste my time) This can not be fixed in the car and JB weld doesn't fix it.
7 weld the extension on to the inner baffles (you already removed this before during step one right)
8 Fit your pickup tube (use the gasket do not think your smart and use a o-ring like TSS used to. Funny people wonder why engines fail.)
9 Do not get fancy and buff off the weld. This will remove the bulk of your weld and when you bottom out and tap the sump on the ground the 1/8 remaining weld will crack and then you have lots more problems. good weld is art leave it that way.
10 let it cool and put the baffle back in. and refit pan.

or buy the one I have sitting on my shelf.
    You can't fix stupid.

There are pics of one I welded up for a friend in my build thread, might be update #5, I think. As long as your welder is good with TIG/Aluminium it isn't a problem. The instructions above are pretty much it, but he left out a critical step, when welding cast of any sort(steel/Alum.) you need to pre-heat the parent metals. IE, High powered heat gun or propane torch, try to heat the weld area's as evenly as possible. This is done just prior to to welding. To bad you weren't on my side of Canada, for the forty minutes it take to welded it, I would do it for free.

    Good luck with it
