    turbo coolant lines leak

I need some opinions. Just finished dropping in my rebuilt engine, which I had the turbos rebuilt with steel wheels. engine started, which was a huge load off my mind. however, I seem to have a coolant leak coming from somewhere around the turbos. It's really hard to see any of the lines, but it seems like it's coming from the coolant lines that wrap around the turbos. it's not much and it only happens when the car is running. oh and it may only be the rear turbo, judging by where the puddle is.

what should I do? is there anyway to get to those lines without pulling the engine again?

    Thx, Ian.

Usually rear turbo coolant line that comes out of the turbo will be the culprit. Check bolts and clamps are tight. Some can be a pain in the arse to get at but no need to pull engine. When engines cold start it to get coolant pressure, find hose on turbo feel around and look with a flashlight see if its wet. Hopefully thats what it is, pretty simple to fix

I had the same thing happen to me and if it's the coolant hose that's at the very back then you have to pull your intake manifold/phenum off cause there impossible to get pliers in there to pinch off the hose clamps.

    Not intake side, Turbo side.

Yea there shouldn't be a prob driving it. Just don't run out of coolant lol. You'll have to reach the bolts and clamps from top if it is leaking from where I think it is though, so host might not be much help

    just an update...
it wasn't running right when I started it up, wouldn't idle properly, stalled when in gear. I knew that had nothing to do with the coolant leak so I started poking around and found that I didn't plug the line that went to the charcoal canister that I removed while the engine was out. it was coming from the AAC, once I plugged it, it started idling like a champ.

The leak from the turbo coolant line seems to have stopped. nothing after 20mins of idling, and nothing after coming back from drive up the street.

did the copper washer just take a bit to seal?
did it have something to do with the vacuum line?

    any thoughts?

Could have just took a while to seat properly yea. Shouldn't have anything to do with charcoal canister hehe. Just keep a eye on it and you'll be fine.
