So when I start my car when its cold or after i let it sit for a couple hours (mid warm) it starts and has the hardest time keeping running. It sounds like my car has the most insane cams and only revs to about 450-500 rpm...then after a couple seconds like that it gains the rpm and runs normal. Anybody have any ideas why its doing this?
Could be an Intake Air Temp sensor, or Coolant Temp sensor gone bad causing a rich initial startup. Once it starts and the ECM sees the low idle it will bump the Idle Control Valve up to a cold start rpm range until the O2 goes into closed loop.
Mine does same thing. Any other signs to single them out?
