Guages dont work, Power window fuse keeps blowing

So last night, I downshifted to pass a guy, and after It was all said and done I noticed my guages wernt working. I was confused as itnot like it was a hard downshift and took off or anything. My speedo works, but everything else is all screwed up. Rpm wont move, torque is maxed out, fuel is stuck where it was etc etc. I came in and tried to read about it and found nothing, but alot about the power window fuse came up, so i went out and checked my windows and they dont work either.

Went down to lordco and picked up a new 25a 32v fuse and plugged her in. Instantly sparked.
So I went back inside, bought another one, came home and here we are.

    Thanks for the help!

Check your wiring harness for any wires grounding out on the chassis. One wire could be contacting metal or hitting another wire. When you down shifted it may have been enough to shake the wire enough to move its position.

Could be one of your problems. Just today at work I was working on a John deere backhoe and it was shorting out multiple fuses due to wires contacting the chassis. I tried all day to get it the fuse to blow but did nothing until I went over a pile of dirt and made the cab bounce and then finally it blew.

Just do the easy things first before you go to the hard stuff. Good luck.

Well I just briefly went outside to start looking for shorts or wires touching the chassis. I took out the power window fuse just, to look at it and when I plugged it back in I noticed my Drivers door lock made a sound. So i did it again, as soon as the fuse touches the fuse slot it appears the drivers door lock moves or tries to lock/ unlock. I tried it with the doors locked and unlocked and it hapens either way. Also, are the rear lights also on this fuse? I have heard something about the winows, dash and rear lights all being on the same fuse, my rear right brake light appears to bewired wrong. The one light is always lit up like Im braking. Not sure if this could have anything to do with it.

I had a bad light connector once. I blew a fuse some how and fried the connector. That took out my rear tail lights, front, all dash and gauges. I bought a new connector and replaced fuses and it worked.

Your tail lights wired wrong could have something to do with it. A wire could be cut to long and not covering the copper. Maybe a loose/bad ground?

Also I remember when I would lock and unlock my door, checking if it worked. I always heard a click when I locked the door but not when I unlocked it. I believe that's the relay making the sound.
