    fuel level gauge not working...

Hey guys so ever since i installed my fuel system my stock fuel gauge on the cluster doesnt read. the needle is pinned at the very bottom all the time and it never moves. any ideas? id really like to know how much gas is in my car lol. my fuel system is a swirl pot with -6 return lines from the trunk to the rail and -10 feed. its a aeromotive a1000 pump, filter and fpr with a tomei 11mm rail and precision 1000cc injectors. any help is appreciated.

Most fuel gauges use a groud type gauge, so I would make sure the sending unit has a good ground, check with a multi-meter, if you want to check the gauge then just ground the signal wire, if memory serves me right, dead ground is full, or vice versa, dead ground is empty. But most times it is a poor ground to the sending unit. Give that a try.

is there a ground going to the sending unit outside of the two clips? all i remember are the two clips that plug into the top of the fuel hat.

Yep, there should be the fuel pump power and ground in one clip, and the sender wires are the other, so if you have a meter, just put it on 12volts DC. You can then have a friend cycle the key to ignition, you should see a 12 volt pulse on the wire that powers the fuel pump. So now you know what plug is for the pump. The other plug is for the sender. Put the meter on OHM's or Continuity, then put one prob to ground, Prob the wires in the other plug, one should go to ground, the meter will read Zero's. You may need to have the key in IGN. I can't remember right now, and I'm offshore. One of the other wire(s) should go to the gauge. I would look up the diagram for you but my manual is at home.... I hope this helps ya out.
