when you got your map sensor, it should have come with a diagram showing what the wires on the pigtail are for.

pull out your FSM and scroll to the MAF wire schematic. it will show the purpose of each wire (there should be 5).
connect the wires to the proper MAP wires from the MAF plug and run a vacuum source to the MAP sensor.
(IIRC, one of the wires connects to the throttle signal) its been a while since i did my MAP conversion.

on the series 2, there will be a bunch of options of different MAP sensors that are compatible with the EMS. choose the one which is your sensor.

if all is working properly, then on your "start" tab on the EMS when its hooked up to a laptop, it should read as close to 0.0 as possible with the car not running.

mine fluctuates between 0.0 and -.1 PSI

AEM MAP sensor requires +5V DC to operate. Only +12V is available from the MAF sensor looms. You'll burn up the sensor if you run battery voltage.

I just tapped into the TPS power wire (which is 5 volts), and used the shielded signal wire, and ground wire contained in the MAF loom.
