    Brake cylinder problem

I'm not sure if this is the stock one for the R32, but it does not look exactly like the one I saw in the service manual.

Basically there is that opening in between the two lines and its leaking. Also, sounds like it maybe sucking a bit of air though that. Does anyone know what I can put in there? It does not look threaded, but hoping there is a way to plug that.

I found the part diagram with more details and that hole is not present:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have the car up now with a friend over to help me bleed them but we are stuck with this thinking its probably pointless to proceed.

Thank you very much in advance for your advice!

What should be plugging that hole? Is it eve supposed to be there? Does anyone else have a unit that looks like mine?

All of the replacemet ones I haven do not have the hole in between the two lines. Service manual only shows the two lines and the wires, but mine has a third hole.

Can't see anything on it, but its dark here. The cap just says:

USE ONLY DOT 3 BRAKE FLUID FROM A SEALED CONTAINER
WARNING CLEAN FILLER CAP BEFORE REMOVING
    CLOSE - TOXIC - OPEN
    NISSAN

There is no Japanease writing on the cap.

I'll take a better look at it when its light out. The only bit of writing on the unit that I did see is a caps R which you can just barely see in the picture I posted.

Took some more looks at the one available from:

    http://www.rhdjapan.com/nissan-oem-b...line-r32-56815

Looks the same as mine after all. The service diagram lacks the detail, but after looking at mine again and the one online I think they are the same. My MC has an oozing hole where the online pic has a dimple there.

Is it possible to repair this unit or am I stuck getting a new/used one?

Sent some PM's asking about used units... no replies yet.

For now I decided to go with cold steel by JB weld. Cleaned the hole up using some meth and made a small plug of cold steel. Within minutes I drove it up onto my ramps and the plug held fine. Few days later now and its still looking good. I saw guys in Australia have been tapping them and using screws to plug the holes and used the unit for years without any issues. The cold steel looks much better and hopefully it will hold as nicely for me as it has for other users of the product.

Will have to do for now until I get another used unit. Not willing to shell out the $500 for a new one right now.
