Crank bolt stuck

Ive been trying to remove the crank bolt all afternoon today with no results, ive tried the starter trick and tried wd40/pb blaster and 5th gear with a 4 feet steel tube to extend my breaker bar, got to the point where im spinning the tires on 5th and nuthin


Anyone have any ideas?

Don't use 5th, you need the lowest gear possible. So put it in reverse and use the breaker bar and a pipe with the car on the ground and the parking break on!

3/4 impact if not 1inch. Buddies 1J we had to use small blocks of wood on the bottom of the crank. Which I don't recommend.

But why would you go for a lower gear? That means more torque at the wheels which makes them slip more easily, im gona try propane torch on the bolt tmr, hopefully itll strech the bolt a little bit and back it up

It works like a big wheel, with a small wheel it is harder for you to get the leverage you need to move it from a standing start. There for the bigger wheel is easier to turn!
In the lowest gear you have just that, "Torque" working for you by keeping the engine from turning over in the form of gearing and compression!
If you try to bump a car in 5th it will turn over easier rather than the hard bump and kick in first!

heat it up and try the starter trick or impact. You want to shock the bolt more so than turn it loose.

soak the crap out of it with some pb blaster for a day or two then try the starter trick.

I just put it in 4th and pryed. Mine broke free pretty easily.

Any decent Impact gun will take it off... Problem is the engine has to be out or you need to take the rad/AC out. Im assuming that is why you aren't using an impact?
