    Daily Driver

Not sure if people on this board know but Toyota did a recall on a lot of trucks for improper frame rust protection and they ended up writing off my 1998 Tacoma and now i need a new daily driver so i can save my skyline from driving Winnipeg's crappy winter salted streets.

I was thinking of either saving some money and getting an 04 WRX or splurging and getting the new Lancer EVO X.

Just wondering if you guys have heard anything good or bad about either. and don't forget this is supposed to be a reliable daily driver not a project.

    Mazda 3.

Handles great, fun car, reliable, great fuel economy.

Or BMW 330xi. Great for winter too!

That's strange because I've heard the Mazda 3 handles like garbage.

I will have to second the 330xi though, I love my 320i and I can only imagine they get better as you go up in numbers (although something like a 325xi would probably be just fine)

325xi would also be great. The 330 just has a bit more punch. The better for putting SUVs in their place.

Source info for the Mazda is

sorry about posting in the wrong part of the forum, don't usually make it to the bottom of the page and saw general discussion.

all you help is really helping, thank you

But for winter car was really wanting something all wheel drive hence my choice of the evo and wrx. it seems pretty apparent that Subaru wins over Mitsubishi.

I don't know much about the BMW's but are they AWD?

also do you guys know which would be better price to performance ratio the 04 WRX or the 06 WRX?
