    Guess the good thing is they doubled your limit but if you still exceed it they put you on the next price plan..

    you are correct, but missing parts.
    if you go over your current plan for the month you are automatically bumped up to the next package for the remainder of the month, then at the end of month (oh btw by "month" i mean your billing period) you get automatically put back down to the plan you were on. if this happens for a couple months in a row you will get a call from the bandwidth guys and they will suggest you upgrade to the next plan permanently. which would only be a $10 jump anyways so it's not that bad.
