Where to go for collision cars/insurance write-offs

Hi guys. I wont be utilizing this for a bit but the way things are looking right now it will be in my best interest to pick up a crashed car. Id go the route of a half-cut but people love to overcharge for them, places like tiger selling them for 4k...not worth it.

I know certain cars depending on damage can go for a few hundred bucks, up to a few k. I havent heard of these things being too popular at ontario auctions...anyone know of any good spots to look? thanks in advance.

    Ryan.

Just look out for deals man. I picked a gts4 from a member on here for dirt cheap and it honestly just needed a motor and a couple lines in the rear that were chopped for some reason.

im assuming your talking about JDM cars. have fun in ontario finding stuff like that. you just gotta keep your eye on the auctions and keep track off all the skylines in your area and the crashed ones and where they go.

Depending how my business turns out. might be able to bring back a front clip for ya

ooh nate yes, that would be absolutely essential. basically again all I need is a front cut for missing motor parts, then keep the motor as a spare.

and yeah, Im referring to an R32GTR

I'll be needing everything other than head+block+diff+oil pan (all internals in tact), wiring harness, abs master, Intercooler, charge piping. so basically, buying a halfcut and just taking what I need, keeping the rest as spares/selling is the best route.

Yeah Mike at 4xtoys had everything, but price was a bit steep. I figure I could do a bit better if I do the legwork myself, and have some parts on the side too. Ill keep on msn over the next little bit, we'll discuss your shop ideas and see whats doable for this winter.

Ok so why not get a half cut with good body panels and parts and sell everything except for what you need. In the long run everything might cost you 1000$ and some leg work.

I bought my most recent skyline for 1000$ and paid 3500$ for a half cut with a kickass motor in it worth well over that. I sold the body panels and got maybe 1000$ back when it was all said and done. So what I have 3500 into a full car that's awd with a built motor..... Just keep your eye out man. If your willing to wrench you can save some cash
