Moving to SK

Hey all, me and my gf just got jobs in North Battleford, SK as teachers! I'm trying to learn a bit of that area? We'll be moving in the end of august.

Anyone know that place a bit? Would like some info on the general side...

If so, is there some sort of Import scene close by?

Hope to meet some of you Saskatchewan GTRcers!!

EDIT: This is 4000 Km closer to vancouver (docks) than where I live now (Moncton, NB) so I'll be in a skyline in more or less a year! YEAHHHHHHHHH I need the Cone Of Silence so I can express my joy!

Not a huge import scene that I am aware of, I live in Edmonton but born and raised in Saskatoon (only 130 km away), more car stuff there. Did spend a fair amount of time in NB and going thru it on the way to our cabin. Lots of nice parks (camping) and lakes just a bit north of there, if you like fishing/waterskiing etc get a boat. Economy is mostly farming.

nice, when making the trip out to alberta, my favorite part is always coming down through the valley in the battlefords and crossing the river!

Passed through a couple times, and have heard it rains daily haha but can't give you much more than that. :P You'll like it in Sask though!

Battleford is alright, not a lot of stuff going on there though. Sask is awesome however! Best place to live imho.

saskatoon is pretty good for car people, they have quite a few events and SIR there, lived in regina for a while not much going on there.
