    Sea Rail. Opinions?

Well, we all know how fun that damn search bar can be. I remember there was a thread on different shipping companies a while back, can't seem to find it now.

Anyways, to the point; I'm wondering what the opinions are on Sea Rail? Good way to ship vehicles? Or is that the one that bangs them up?

When I shipped my car I looked into them, found a fair number of complaints, I ended up going with a different company.

I hate them. Its been a long time since I last used them. I used to deal with Greg a ton back in the day. Shipping from Vanny to Calgary mostly. The last time I shipped with searail I had a hood smashed by their employees. I know this for fact because I was in Vancouver and seen the car at the wharf in good shape, and it arrived in Calgary with a crazy big dent in the hood. When you ship searail, you have to sign off a form so they wont be at fault for any damage or loss to save their ass. I could see the orange/yellowish paint on the hood from the rail carts. Something must have dropped on it while in transport or they drove the car into the second level when driving it into the cart.

Ive had problems with hansons and allied as well for trucking, but I dont need to get into that. One time they even shipped me the wrong car and gave mine to a guy in Saskatchewan.

Went thru my paperwork, I used Car Couriers out of Calgary, no issues with them.

im looking at using ABR from Montreal to Vancouver. they seem reputable price is between 1200-1800 depending on shipping type (open trailer, closed rail car, or closed trailer) and some options allow for shipping of other items like spare parts in the car as well! They offer terminal to terminal or door to door and everything in between. Check em out maybe.
Can anyone else here say anything about ABR? Good/Bad ?

Used these guys to ship my 1970 454SS Chevelle to Brandon from Kamloops, did an excellent job and was about $1100 door to door. I (yes, I....not them) loaded up the car infront of my house and the guy I sold it to backed it out of the trailer right into his garage. Fully enclosed trailer.

Pay for flight, gas and expenses and I'll drive your car to Ontario for you . No joke. I'm bored and need something to do. Hell, I'll even do a tune up on it before the trip to make sure it's running tip top

Lol, Falcon, if it was my car, I'd totally do it :P I'll buy you a beer when you got here too :P

I'm looking into it for my friend. He's checking a few different options for vehicle shipping from the docks in BC out to here as opposed to what he's currently using. I'll let him know your offer stands however :P
