So I was on the internet, and a random guy starts talking to me.

Now to create a bit of a background, I have been drifting for almost 2 years, and I have had a passion for it for even longer. Before I had my licence I was on all the forums reading and learning, and went to track events just to watch and hang out. Anyway, essentially all you need to know is drifting is a big part of my life.

so lets get to it... get some popcorn ready

I will be honest, I love automobiles, but despise Drifting as a motosport. Recreation is fine, but I refuse to consider it a legit motorsport.

Not real drifters. I've never seen a civic at a track (for a drift event that is). there was an accord once but that was rwd converted with the engine and drivetrain from an s2000

Thats nice, I appreciate your open-mindedness. I love all forms of motorsport. also gymkhana, really? Gymkhana is just autox but the courses are very tight that sometimes a slide is needed to tighten the turning radius.... ken block doesnt do gymkhana

Demolition derby? How's that a Motorsport anyways? Not a lot of talent or driver skill needed. It's all who's vehicle lasts longer

I had a guy who wanted to buy my oem turbo but he was on a budget an preferred a blown one. We chatted via text, pleasant conversation "how was your Xmass, ect" When it came time to discuss price I said ___ and he wanted to spend 1/3 of that. No big deal, figured id inquire because the turbo is a paper weight to me right now. No shaft play, very little km's on it, not my fault you are on a budget. And I'm asking half of what they sel for too. This guy was lookin to lil one up for a little more than the price of a case of beer. No big deal, to each their own. No harm done

A day later I'm reading a thread for a gauge cluster for a great deal. I thought it was the same guy I was talking to tr day before and wondered why he never mentioned the gauge cluster when we discussed possible trades of other parts we both had. I text him and inquire. I said I'll give him ca$h and my turbo for the gauge cluster. He says make me an offer. I say $400 with my turbo. (I was asking $150 for my turbo in awesome shape, knocked off $50 of my original asking price)
He says "sorry man I cant". Knowing this cluster is worth a few hundred more than listed I said "$425 and my turbo" ($500 for the cluster is what he was asking, me giving 425 and my turbo means I'm selling the turbo for $75!"

He replies "Hahahahahahahah read buddy im not even selling a mines cluster .... I just think its funny .... You wouldnt give a deal but you want a deal of a lifetime .... Hahahahahahahah
