    Wanna change freeze plugs, help!

So I just realized that i totally forgot to change my freeze plugs when i had the block in pieces. now that the short block is assembled (sans the water pump), and still out of the car on an engine stand, can i change them without too much trouble?
How does one even change a freeze plug?
I've been brushing my teeth with jack but it's resulted in terrible amounts of tooth decay.

take a punch and hammer one side of the freeze plug till it turns or falls in ( wont fall far) and the remove with needle nose plyers there pretty simple and when you install the new ones use a driver or a socket the same size as the freeze plug and drive in flush with the block. It also dosent hurt to put some rtv slicon around the sides of the new freeze plug to.

won't do any harm to my newly assembled short block will it? i'm thinking of using the liquid gasket that nissan supplies in their full rebuild kit, that should be good right?

yeah the liquid gasket should work fine just rub a little around the outside out the freeze plug and it should be good....and it should not harm anything just remember to punch the edge of the frost plug to try to turn it cause it you punch the middle it will just makes holes and might make it more difficult to remove.
