Rebuilt a powersteering pump I bought for an rb25 on ebay. I got it to find the pulley was bent. Got a nice seal kit from nissan Canada and a new pulley/shaft.

Question. On the discharge side of the pump, there is a spool inside. Which way faces out towards the threaded banjo connector. The skinny side or the filter side.

On a more technical note want does this spool do?

Haha. I wasn't expecting it to be in there. It popped out before I could see which way it went.
