Wires under seats?

Just curious as to what the wires that attach to the bottom of the front seats are for. I put a GTR seat in both and the clip for the wires don't match up on the drivers side so I left them unplugged. I'm assuming it's for the seatbelt light but not sure. Just want to make sure it safe.

You know when you get in the car and you forget your seatbelt a buzzer or alarm sounds to remind you. That is what it is for.

Wow never knew that, but I guess I also will never even start the car unless my belt is on. Cool
