Just curios. I installed a big FMIC last summer and had to remove the big chunky rebar that supports the hood latch. over time it started weakening to the point i could see hood lift on the highway.. so my question is how did people who have done this reinforce the hinge?

not speaking from experience cause i have mine still but im sure that hood pins will do the trick
Funny that you mention it I just hacked that off tonite to make room for my FMIC. Yea its way to flimsy, Ill put hood pins on my Gtr hood but not my gts. I bet a guy could take a peice of steel or alumiunum and go striaght up and weld to it to strengthen it.
Traction is optional, so are zipties

hood pin or install latch support back on, you don't want your hood slamming up.
My Ctrl button has the 'C' scratched off it.
