    GTS 4 questions

    Haven't been on these forums in years, sold my 89 GTS T about 4 years ago. Now I have a chance to pick up a GTS 4 coupe and was wondering if there are any issues with the RB25 setup as I am not as familiar with that particular power plant. RB20's are cake, and I've torn down a few RB26's but am just wondering about the 25's. Apparently the AWD on this car has been disabled making it RWD and I am wondering if they just removed the fuse or actually modded the car, I am going to see it tomorrow.
    So i guess in a nutshell, is there anything I should look for on this car to make sure I'm not getting ripped off or be looking at major repairs down the road?
    Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

    Look for a huge transmission. If it has a smaller rb20 then it has been swapped out for a rb20 trans but I really doubt that. If it's just the fuse that has been pulled as why it has been put like that and how long it's been for.

    Cool, the car is supposed to be mostly stock from what I understand and the owner does not seem to know a lot about the history behind it. I will poke my head underneath to check the tranny. Anything else I should be aware of?

    Check the frame rails man. I have seen slot of people jack these cars incorrectly and screw the frame while doing so. If it's for dirt cheap I would look the car over for a long time to make sure you know what your getting yourself into!

    Well saw the car, drives well, has the right tranny etc. Has some minor side skirt damage which is no biggie to fix, body is clean, paint slightly faded. I think I may just grab it, gonna sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning, got him down to $4000, car has 130000km on it.

    Oh gawd no, lol. This one is fully driveable and is his daily, plus it's black and is a coupe. Sorry for the crappy pic.
