    replacing body parts

    So the previous owner left his mark on the passenger side of my skyline. My rear quarter has a nice big dent that has rusted and needs replaced. I have been looking at my options and it seems i will need to cut it out and replace it. its either, replace the rear quarter or cut out the dent and cut the same piece out on another rear quarter or get a piece formed. Anyways though. I am wondering, are the GTS and GTR rear quarters the same or different? If they are different, what needs to be done to swap the GTS for GTR rear quarters?

    And secondly, will GTR front fenders be a direct bolt on for a GTS?

    And last, Does anyone know somewhere in British Columbia that can fix my rear quarter (or replace both rear quarters if GTR rear quarters are different) and will do a good job of it for a good price? Thanks

    no the rear quarters are not the same. the gtr front fenders will bolt up to a gts but they look off unless you have a gtr bumper and hood. im pretty sure. and pm caliber76 on here as hes in bc and he had both of his quarter pannels on his gtr swapped out

    I would be getting my parts off a GTR parts car, has all the body parts minus the hood. Ill PM that guy but incase anyone knows, do you have to replace the whole rear quarter to swap from GTS to GTR or can you cut just above the line (just under the windows) and just before the trunk?

    Swapping to GTR rears is going to be a big job! Your going to need the wheel wells and rocker extensions to make up for the difference in width.
    The best way to do the quarter is to splice half way up the B and C pillars, smaller amount of stitch welding, and way less chance of the panels warping. Also it'll be a smaller area to grind and fill after the welding is done.
    I'm in the process of doing a quarter and rocker replacement right now(The Build From Hell) and can say it's a pain in the ass,lol!
