    No Power Under 3000 RPM

Well first off i just replaced my head gasket and re did my timing. I have it set to 0 degrees btdc, and i have no power under 3000 rpm and it wont stay idling. It always wants to die off and I have to keep feathering the gas to keep it alive. and it reeks like gas out of my exhaust so its running really rich. any one had anything similar to this and i really need to get it running so i have transportation. Any one?

If i'm not mistake the service manual claims 15* BTDC for stock timing. Use a timing light and rotate your CAS until you achieve a solid idle/running state. 15-20 is safe.

Also, when you reinstalled that cams, did you line them up with the back plate? At TDC (0), your cams should be at 15* from flat from what I remember. If that's ok, then do as i said above.

Think he's talking about valve timing, not ignition timing

    \\

But he just redid his head gasket, so the cams could be off after reinstall .. sounds timing related to me because timing advances once off cold start maps (maps used to until the thermostat opens - high enrichment values ), and this is where the stalling seems to occur.
