    Sheet, what is wrong here?

Oh boy, not sure what's going on here. So I tried to put the slave cylinder on the tranny, doesn't fit. I can't get it close enough to the bolt holes. Tried letting the fluid out through the bleeder but it doesn't compress or anything. The pic of just the tranny shows me holding the bracket as far forward as it will go by hand. What have I done wrong here?

I've been brushing my teeth with jack but it's resulted in terrible amounts of tooth decay.

Do I have to pry on the fork or something? It doesn't have much travel when wiggling it by hand

The slave cylinder should compress? Its been off for like 2 years lol
I never disconnected it from the line, just removed it from the tranny

you wont compress the fork by hand thats the slave cylinders job. that little nubbin part of the slave that pushes agains the fork should it move in and out of the cylinder. when you press the pedal it pushes the nubbin thing agains the fork and ur clutch moves.

it should slide in and out by hand man. take the boot off, have a look. if it looks all rusty and sheet just get another one.
do some research on what cars are compatible. i think a nissan pathfinder has the same one but not 100% sure about that

Doooood you were 100% right! I pulled off the boot and it was all nasty inside and seized. But using my mighty Texan muscles I pushed in the piston with a screwdriver and freed it and now it moves nicely. Fit right onto the tranny.
    You're the best.
