Very scary noises in my motor

So heres the story my car is about 1000 kms from its 5000 km oil change. Im using a k&n oil filter for a 300zx tt and valvoline 10w30 full synthetic oil. It started making a knocking noise yesterday and it sounds like the noise is coming from under the intake manifold somewhere. The car is a 94 r33 gts25t and mostly stock other than a full 3 inch turbo back exhaust with cat delete, pod filter, and a electronic boost controler. It dosnt run bad or anything just the typical hesitation and backfiring at around 5000 rpm. I want to know if anyone knows what the problem could be if its a common problem with these things if i should just change the oil and see what happens or tear it down and see whats goin on in there. I really hope its just simple and not too serious cause i dont really have the money to rebuild it. Also the noise doesnt get much louder when you rev it up it just gets a little faster. Anyway i hope someone can help me and thanks for the suggestions and help in advance.

No i dont have a video camera but i will try and get a video somehow

So just trying so pin point exactly where in the motor the noise is coming from and noticed the sound is very easy to hear when u put your ear up to the pod filter which doesnt make me feel any better but maybe it will help someone identify what it is if they have experienced the same problem.

check your crankshaft pulley for wobbling

If you're having missfiring issues I would start by fixing that because you could just be hearing missfiring and not actual knocking.
