my crank shaft pulley is visibly off axis and making a loud clunking noise. hopefully i just need to tighten or replace the pulley, can anyone tell me if the cs pulley from any rb, r or ka will work with my rb20![]()

Buy a new one, I custom ordered a 850hp crank damper from ATI so I could run a 800hp with Air conditioning and it cost $485 shipped.
My old RB26 pulley weighed 13.0 lbs my ATI pulley weighed 9.99lbs , thats a lot of weight to remove in rotating mass.
I noticed the response in my engine and the entire job start to finish took less then 2 hours.

looking for a cheaper fix i see alot of part for rb25s and r32 wondering if they would work
Im almost certain a RB26 one will work

+ 1 for the ati pulley im running the same one
1991 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R:512awhp @ 18psi on rgs dyno
Its cheap insurance and they come assemled and with warranty.
***Just some advice - OEM crank pulleys get balanced with the crank so if you replace yours with another one you might still be in the same position***

Who else has upgraded their pullies?
Been interested in doin mine on my rb25
i'm also interested, purchased an rb26 one myself hoping to use it on my rb25 but found out the power steering belt is different, rest is close to the same. I also don't want to blow 500 bucks on an ati but has to be a happy medium.
Like has anyone tried anything like this

Like end of the day its just a pulley as long as it get balanced with rotating assembly or at least on its own then how can this be any worse?
I severely doubt a 20+yr old OEM balancer is still balancing like they used to.
ATi or Ross is good.
My Ctrl button has the 'C' scratched off it.
I consider The balancer as one of the most important parts of the engine so spend a few extra dollars and invest wisely in a after market pulley.
Replacing a faulty OEM pulley with another OEM pulley is like changing your oil and adding used oil with less km's
A new ati damper sells for around $375 that's a cheap insurance policy for your crank and oil pump
