Can anyone recommend trunk sealer and seam sealer?
I have looked and looked but the options are endless..
I just want a tried and tested product.
Thanks,
Mark Oliver

ya mines leaking to..same with my tail lights.
You want a rubber based brushable seam sealer or else it will dry and then crack cause it has no flex. I have found that proform brushable seam sealer works best. If you want a clean job you need a 2k product that you need a cocking gun to mix it properly. Fusor 123 nonsagging is what my shop uses. Use masking tape to make cleaner lines but take off before it hardens. Now for your tail lights your want to got to napa or any parts store and get a roll of butyl tape. It's used for windows that bolt in and sealing around bolted light and panels on rare occasions. It's stick s*** and a trick it to get a chunk in your fingers then press against the old butyl tape and do it like your dipping McNuggets over and over. Also in my car it was coming through my window seal cause it was cracked and worn out a bit so I masked up a nice line around the window rubber and used urethane and smoothed it out nice. Best trick of the trade. Grab a light and a buddy. Jump in the trunk with your light so you don't get scared then have your buddy get your car all nice and wet pouring on all the seams and crack where it possibly could leak. While your in the trunk shin your light around and see where the **** the waters coming from. Then fix and repeat!!

You can get panel seam sealers (make sure to get one made for some negative temperature since Vancouver does see the occasional -10's)
Take the lights out, scrape most of oem sealer, clean the area and dry it. Then take a heat gun and warm up the metal a bit then lay a bead of sealer then install lights.
Give it a few hours to cure, preferably all day. Also, try to do this on a nice, not-so-humid day.
how in the F*CK do the rear lights come our?? i've tried numerous times and the plastic surroundings on the outside do not wanna come out..ive checked inside the trunk for nuts holding them and and removed the ones i thought would do it..and nothing!
Found this basic guide..

I just need to find a perfect day to start.. lol
The tail lights are butyl taped in. So make sure you undo all the screws in the back and then put a straight/flat blade screw driver in-between the rear body panel and the light. Don't pry to hard or will damage light and/or crack it. start applying pressure to try and make the tape separate. Like I said it is extremely sticky and use it again for a nice clean factory look. No mess and it's not permanent like a sealer or glue.

I went the headache free way. I originally tried to get the damn light off but it's been there for so long the oem sealer was fused.
I just filled the gap with outdoor silicon (used for windows) and the leaking stopped. It's in the trunk anyways not like you can see it, and silicon is easy to remove if needed.
Took a big 2 minutes out of my life and they have never leaked since, going on 4 years now.
