    Rb20 problems Plz help

Ok guys I need a little help.
I have done some research, and not much has helped.
    So here's the story:
My r32 gtst rb20det has a weird spitting problem. It used to happen at around 4500rpm. It would spit backfire and black huffs of smoke out the exhaust. I changed the fuel filter. Had a vacuum test done, checked the plugs, and compression came strong with 165 across all 6. No errors on the ecu. But I will double check that.

Recently in the colder weather it would start sputtering at around 2500 and as the car got warmer it would reach 4500 start sputtering and some times the car runs flawless and pulls really good.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I would like to add that it's making full boost, car is stock, except hks bov. I just bought a wideband and after market boost gauge but I have yet to install.

If have vent to atmosphere BOV and adjusted incorrectly, can cause problems with acceleration, overfueling when backing off throttle, etc. Sometimes they are cheap copy BOV's that leak. Also check for intake airleaks and check for upgraded fuelpump.

    Coils most likely.

Sounds like carbon fouling. Check to see if there is black **** on the plugs insulator or electrode.
    Double track drift, yo.

Put the OEM bypass valve on in place of the HKS valve and see if it fixes the problem.

Sad news, when I tried to start the car for school this morning it would turn over and over, but wouldn't catch.. Idk what's going on battery is new, and all lights stereo come on strong. And theres half a tank of gas in there.

I'm taking the coilpacks and plugs out tonight.
Going to clean the coil packs and put some liquid electric tape over them (read on a forum somewhere) as well check the state of the plugs
Pull up the codes on my ecu.

I'll check the fuel pump as well.

Thanks alot for al the input, it's really appreciated.

Sounds like potentially a fuel system failure. Definitely check fuel pressure.
    Because race car.

try messing around with the MAF connector while car is running. if the engine rpms varies it could be the connector... or else slightly knock on the black housing of the MAF.

if your plugs were fouled, the mis fires would happen every time you'd hit boost.

but it's definetaly a good idea to check plugs and make sure they are all the same looking.
