    GTS-4 Progress.

We'll I finally got my front axel rebuilt, something which took allot longer then anticipated.

Only to find that my bearings / seals are going on my front left wheel. Also I believe I have a boost leak and my 1st gen HKS bov is craping out.

So this week I'm taking my vehicle in to replace the wheel bearings and seals, and having everything pressed back on the hub. Then I'm also taking my vehicle down to auto dream to have the vacume leak fixed, and replace the vacume housing. I'm also installing a bran new HKS SSQQ BOV which should sound amazing, I'm also installing a boost gauge so I can finally tell if and when Im running proper boost.

With everything said and done she should run smoothly finally..
I may have only been running 195 - 200 hp with the boost leak, I know I'm getting substantially less gas mileage, I'm not sure how little boost I'm running right now though. It might even drive like a bran new vehicle when I get her all fixed up!.

that engine would only have 195 - 200 hp on a good day! nobody ever talks about fly wheel hp unless you drive a civic. when the leak is fixed you should have around 175 -185 whp.i will take your old bov off your hands. pm me and we can set something up

Okay, so I got my Blitz power intake.
I got my HKS SSQ BOV, * it sounds fantastic *

I finally got my axle thing fixed, going to get a wheel alignment next week

I also installed new spark plugs, and cleaned out the coil packs.

In a few weeks time I'm installing a new water pump, Thermostat, and timing belt. Giving her an oil change

and then installing a boost gauge, and a manual boost controller
I'm going to run 10 PSI, and should have around 240 -250 WHP, or 300 BHP
She should be really nice!. Future plans will be a FMIC, and then GTR cam gears.

Then I'll sell her and buy a GTR :-D I've caught the skyline bug.

No offense but weren't you just #$$%%ing on gas mileage and how much it took to repair these cars when you were about to sell and now you want a GTR?

    :-|

Good luck with the car though...

GGTTSS 44 you seem like a good guy so Im not gonna bust your balls, if you dont like your car cut your losses and move on, right now tons of people are selling there GTS T's GTS's and GTS 4's to get a GTR its a buyers market, I can just keep haggling people down for a good price. Your going to end up investing too much money into your car hoping for a big return then get nothing out of it.

I was bent over disliking my vehicle, because It was un drivable or in the shop for 80 percent of the time, driving it 20 percent of the time

the only problem was the front axle, and it not being repaired, being broken, waiting for a new one, not being fixed etc.

After that is done I'm finally driving the vehicle and loving it.
My gas mileage is fine, two of my sparkplugs were loose * as able to pull them out with your finger *

I had a boost leak, And a turbo leak because a shop didn't put my boost pipe in tightly...

Basically now shes running smooth and I love it. Before I was twating around with leaks and miss firing out the wazoo.

I won't sell it right now, the market is far to cheap to sell my skyline, until I have more equity in the vehicle and my loan is payed down I'm keeping it as is.

I'm not spending allot of money.. it was like 110 bucks for the boost controller and gauge, I'm putting FMIC in the fall when I do have money, and potentially GTR Cam gears to give it a better mid range.

I guess people can and will flame, because I was really upset with the situation a while back, however I'm much happier now that my car drives nice nad I'm driving it.

Plus I was in my buddies GTR the other day, I didn't know what fast meant until he took me for a little spin, you actually get pinned back in the organs feel all loopy and weird from the forces.

its modified btw and he just imported it, thats the feeling I've allways wanted in a vehicle, thats what I wanto go after!.

Thats good to hear you are happy, you got to understand that this site has some hipocrits, if you post saying you smoked a RSX or a civic or w.e they all jump on you for street racing. But in reality your not importing these cars to drive slow or the speed limit 100% of the time not one skyline owner can say they have never sped in there car. But you posted constantly saying that im gonna sell it for a prelude no im keeping no im selling to get a GTR you see, they also hate fan boys, people who just buy the car to say I have a skyline and all this mix match emotions are common of a fan boy who baught got more then they expected got scared and wanted to back down

I know what you guys are saying.
When I didn't have a vehicle, and was being drivin around. I started thinking, I want something with leather seats, stereo newer body etc etc..

But no. A car is meant to be drivin, and it is fun to drive a vehicle.
This skyline is the funnest car to drive period. It sounds like pure sex everytime I shift with the SSQ BOV, and I love the spooling of the turbo. I can allways get my stereo replaced.

I have ADHD, Im quick to jump the gun on things, aspecially typing over a web site forum. So when I let the front axle issue get the best of me, all heck turned lose reguarding getting rid of this thing..

Also Budget is tight right now, so thats another thing that got to me. I'm working hard at the bank however, taking my mutual funds course, and in the fall I should be making a relatively good incomn, then I can afford all the car issues I want.

Needless to say, now that I'm driving the vehicle, and I know what the skyline can do I am inlove with the car. I would not have it any other way

My only regret is bothering you guys on the forum extensively saying I want this or that, and want to trash the skyline. That is something I should of kept to myself all along, and for other users who think about buying such a beast, they need not to worry about a purchase from something I said.

So for all of you who want to get one, believe me, when you start driving it :drive: You'll love it.....
