    My 1990 GTS-T Type M

This is my 1990 Nissan Skyline GTS-T Type M

Basically I'm cleaning it up and taking lots of pics as I go along so why not start a thread. Anyway I just re-installed center consle trim piece after repairing it.

Here is how it looked after glueing the two pieces back together.

I then used the glue as a filler, then I sanded it down smooth and preped it for paint.

    After paint, still drying.

I used black but it didn't turn out as black as I would have liked it. However it does matchup nicely to the rest of the interior so its not that bad. I had to paint the ashtray door and the shifter boot thingy to match the color.

Thanks, I quite like it myself.

Next up is to figure out why my hicas light is on and it's harder to steer than normal.

Power Steering fluid is fine. No lock out bar.

It did its job (worked, I used it) and then the steering stiffend up and I noticed the hicas light was lit up on the dash.

Correct. However there has been a squeeking sound coming from that side of the engine bay while the car is running. As I get closer it gets louder. And the sound does not go away/change when I pull the fan shroud back/away like you told me to do.

I'm getting a used power steering pump just to be safe. Then I'll be able to rule it out completely. Not to mention how you were saying you loved to take corners at high speeds, I'm pretty sure over time I'll eventually need a power steering pump anyways.

If it turns out it's not the power steering pump then I'll just rebuild it and put it away for when I need it. I still gotta read through hicas diagnosis but I currently dont have time as I've got a 7 day work week coming up and I dont have a garage to leave parts everywhere and know they wont go missing. I get a ride to and from work so I dont have to drive the car. We will get to the bottom of this.

I have the same problem. I am going to lock out the hicas this weekend and go from there.
