    My first project.........

Well figure its time to start my own project thread. starting to accumulate parts.

Started with a 89' GTS-4 that was super clean and bone stock. As it sits right now i have removed the motor to do a total rebuild and am waiting on parts

    Modifications/Aftermarket stuff:

    -Dual A-pillar guage pod
    -IEquus Boost gauge
    -IEquus Oil preassure gauge
    -7' Indash pioneer dvd player
    -Energy 6.5' rear speakers
    -energy 4' in the doors
    -Infinity Kappa 10' Sub
    -Infinity Amp
    -Autobahn Alum Rad
    -Aimco Clutch
    -KYB Coilovers
    -Fiberglass Body kit
    -AmSoil Air Filter
    -Polished 3'' Test Pipe
    -Autobahn Oil Cooler/relocation
    -"Nismo" Oil Cap
    -HKS Catback
    -HKS Downpipe
    -Autobahn FMIC
    -Blue silicon rad hoses

    Parts for Motor rebuild:

    -Engine Gasket kit
    -Timing belt, idler, tensioner
    -Oil Pump
    -Water Pump
    -New to me crankshaft
-ACL race main and rod bearings
    -New rings

Ive done all the work myself, owned the car for about 9months and slowly accumilated untill my motor started to pack it in. So i decided to tear into the motor and do a total rebuild and do everything else while it was off the road.

With the body kit, being a fiberglass knock-off, i had big issues with the Side skirts fitting, In the pics you can see how much i had to lengthen the skirts and make a new mounting tab wraping inside the door jam. The point im at now with the whole kit though is front and rear bumpers fitting perfect, ready for for primer, sand, and paint. The skirts are just about ready to have the little holes and crevises filled in then primered sanded and painted.

Motor is sitting all apart at my shop torn apart. Block has been clean and re-honed. head surface smoothed out. Cylinder head, flywheel, exhaust manifold. have all been hottanked and resurfaced. The point im at now is just waiting for the crankshaft to arrive so i can order the proper sized bearings.

well thats my quik speal for now...i will update as it comes together.

I will post pics a little later tonight of body work and parts...

Motor pics to come early next week....

thanks for reading, hope someone out there sees potential in me8-) lol

look good so far i would like to see more pics of your valve covers. What did you use on them to get the texture? Glad to see your sticking with the rb20 :-D can't wait to see more pics! You should really think about top mounting a turbo better than the rb25 :-D :-D

Hoping motor being put in car in about 3weeks. and running as soon as possible after that.

It all depends on how long it takes to get the rings and bearings here from japan....unless...you know of a place local that carrries rb stuff???
